Spec Comparison: ARC700 vs Q850 PRO
video resolution
Edge: THINKWARE ARC700 4K Front 2K Rear
The THINKWARE ARC700 offers superior clarity with a 4K UHD front camera and a 2K QHD rear camera. This combination captures detailed footage at 30fps for the front and 45fps for the rear. The THINKWARE Q850 PRO records at 2K QHD for both front and rear channels. While 2K is sharp, the ARC700’s 4K front sensor provides significantly more detail for license plates and road signs. You get higher resolution on the primary camera with the ARC700, whereas the Q850 PRO maintains consistent 2K quality across both lenses.
image sensor
Edge: THINKWARE ARC700 4K Front 2K Rear
The ARC700 utilizes a Sony STARVIS image sensor, which is specifically designed for low-light performance. This technology helps capture clearer video in dark conditions or at night. The Q850 PRO data does not specify its image sensor type or brand. Without knowing the sensor technology, it is difficult to compare night vision capabilities directly. However, the ARC700 also advertises Super Night Vision, suggesting optimized hardware for darkness. If low-light clarity is a priority, the ARC700’s specified STARVIS sensor gives it a clear advantage over the unspecified sensor in the Q850 PRO.
connectivity
Edge: THINKWARE ARC700 4K Front 2K Rear
Both devices support Wi-Fi connectivity for smartphone integration. The ARC700 specifically features 5GHz Wi-Fi, which typically offers faster data transfer speeds and less interference than older standards. This allows you to download 4K footage more quickly to your phone. The Q850 PRO data does not list its Wi-Fi frequency band. While it likely supports app connectivity, the lack of specific frequency data makes a direct comparison difficult. The ARC700’s explicit 5GHz support suggests a more modern and potentially faster connection for managing your video files.
included storage
Edge: THINKWARE ARC700 4K Front 2K Rear
The ARC700 comes with a 64GB microSD card included in the box. This means you can start recording immediately without purchasing a separate memory card. The Q850 PRO data does not mention whether it includes any storage. You would likely need to buy a compatible high-endurance microSD card separately for the Q850 PRO. Having the storage included with the ARC700 reduces the initial setup hassle and ensures you have the correct card type for the device’s resolution requirements.
gps features
Edge: THINKWARE ARC700 4K Front 2K Rear
The ARC700 includes built-in GPS, which embeds speed, time, and location data directly into your video footage. It also provides speed and red-light camera alerts. The Q850 PRO data does not list GPS features or connectivity. Without GPS, you cannot verify the speed at which an incident occurred or pinpoint the exact location from the video metadata alone. The ARC700 provides comprehensive location and speed tracking, while the Q850 PRO lacks specified GPS capabilities in the provided data.

Drivers needing maximum video clarity
Our pick: THINKWARE ARC700 4K Front 2K Rear
You should choose the ARC700 if you require the highest possible resolution. It records 4K UHD video from the front camera and 2K QHD from the rear. Our pick: THINKWARE ARC700 4K Front 2K Rear
The ARC700 offers robust parking surveillance features that the Q850 PRO data does not mention. It includes Motion and Impact detection, Time Lapse recording, and Smart Parking Mode. These tools provide reliable security for your vehicle while parked, making it the better choice if you need continuous monitoring without manual activation.
Those requiring built-in GPS tracking
